The Ultimate Challenge

Though presented as a graphical artwork, the underlying grid of the Blue Star Universe is spherical and thus pre-sculptural. A regular grid covering the surface of a sphere allows the positioning of the full set of sixty six-pointed stars, all touching with five points their neighbours, leaving only one point off.
Plain grids do not require necessarily “boundary conditions” to be met when creating hyper-symmetries. Playing simultaneously with sophisticated features of symmetry both locally on the surface of a sphere and even through its centre implies a new three dimensional reasoning.
